Partnership between SMU University Alumni Association and “Tunisian Startups” Association

The Association of SMU graduates “SMU ALUMNI” and the association “TunisianStartups” have signed a memorandum of understanding whose goal is to develop the ecosystem of startups and promote entrepreneurship spirit in Tunisia.
This partnership, signed at the headquarters of Southern Mediterranean University, combines the efforts of private actors and those of civil society to support Tunisian startups, and will allow both parties to exchange their programs to promote the entrepreneurship in Tunisia.
Through this collaboration, startups, created by members of SMU Alumni Association, will have the opportunity to participate in training workshops, as well as different competitions and pitching sessions. They can also benefit from the accompaniment and financing of the two associations.
In addition, this partnership develops and implements the concept of “co-founder dating” and “speed pitching” to bring together potential co-founders and co-financers.
Recall that “SMU Alumni” is an association of graduates of the University of Southern Mediterranean University and the Mediterranean Business School based at the Berges du Lac 2 Tunis and which brings together more than 1200 graduates in business administration and offers them framework programs for support their career and foster the entrepreneurial spirit.
As for the association “Tunisian Startups”, it is a non-profit association based in Tunisia that aims to facilitate the daily life of young promoters, accelerate their development and strengthen the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
