Highered EFMD Global Talent Summit Highlights
This Spring’s Summit, held in Shanghai May 8-10, was a landmark event bringing together school career services and corporate representatives to discuss and strategize recruitment initiatives for successful talent management on a global scale. Over 150 career service and HR professionals from top universities and leading companies were in attendance. Check out the highlights below!
Highlights of the Highered Global Talent Summit | Shanghai
Day 1 — Schools A campus visit to China Europe International Business School (CEIBS) and a cross-cultural strategies workshop were organized to facilitate the discussion of talent education and management internationally. See more details here.
Day 2 — Schools & Companies
Informative speeches regarding innovation and talent strategies and the influence of Chinese economic trends on talent management were given by renowned scholars Dr. Julian Chang from Tongji University, and Prof. Martin Lockett and Dr. Xuan Feng from Nottingham University Business School China. Timely topics of AI in recruitment were explored with a panel discussion involving directors and managers from Mars, PwC, EF, SpencerStuart, Morgan Philips, and Seedlink. The new challenges in the internet age, the new standards for enterprise universities, and self-evolution of organizational learning were explained by Mr. Zhongyuan Sun, Executive President of Haier University. Day 3 — Schools & Companies
Two parallel programs were provided: Talent Connect and Company Visit. Utilizing the exclusive EFMD school CV books with more than 500 CVs, companies can meet and/or interview candidates of their interest during Talent Connect. Two Company Visits were arranged: JinkoSolar – the world’s largest solar panel manufacturer, and DNV GL – a global leader in the accredited registrar and classification society.
